Le 14 Novembre 2008 à Bristol Royaume Unis, s'est déroulé une réunion entre les Fédérations Internationales de Dragon Boat(FIDB) de Rafting(FIR) et de Va'a(FIV). Etaient présents : Mike Haslam(Angleterre), Président de la FIDB, Raphaël Gallo (CostaRica), Président de la FIR, Charles Villierme(Tahiti), Président de la FIV, Alan Van Caubergh(Hollande), Président de l'Union Européeenne de Dragon Boat, Jérome Friedrich (Allemagne) Représentant de la FIV en Europe, John Court (Angleterre), Président de la Commission des Handi sports de la FIV.

L'objet principal de cette réunion a été de mettre en place une assocciation qui regrouperait toutes les Fédérations Internationales des sports de la rame/pagaie. Mais surtout la possibilité de s'entraider dans l'expansion et la promotion de chacun des sports tout en respectant l'autorité de chaque Fédération.

 

November 14th, 2008 in Bristol, United Kingdom, a meeting was held in between the International Federations of : Dragon Boat(IDBF), Rafting (IRF), Va'a (IVF). Attendance were : Mike Haslam(United Kingdom), Président of IDBF, Raphaël Gallo (CostaRica), Président of IRF, Charles Villierme(Tahiti), Président of IVF, Alan Van Caubergh(Hollande), Chairman of the Europeande Dragon Boat Federation, Member of the IDBF Council, Jérome Friedrich (Germany) IVF Representative in Europe, John Court (United Kingdom), Chairman of the IVF Adaptive Paddlers Committee.

The principal subject on the Agenda of this meeting was to set an Association of all Paddle sports International Federations. But most of all the possibility of partnership in term of promotion, expansion with respect of the authority of each Federation.
